To improve my knowledge on the subject, I have recently visited some vignards in North East Italy and spoken to the producers, the consumers (and tasted good wine!). I found good explanations of terms on the book Guida ai vini del Friuli Venezia Giulia. PS: this is what a blog is about: sharing information and knowledge!
